Why Washington Can?t Be Fixed

Think of the most pressing domestic problem facing the country today. Whether you choose persistent unemployment, the struggling economic recovery, the housing market, health care, the social security fund crisis, or the ballooning national debt, chances are good that there is consensus that the problem is real and that the president, a blue ribbon commission, or someone in Congress already has proposed some solution. And chances are even better that the proposed solution has no realistic chance of being enacted into law.

Lindsay Lohan on Glee: First-Look Photos!

Lindsay Lohan guest stars on Glee on next week's penultimate episode (May 15). For once, the oft-maligned starlet will be the critic judging people!

Guest-starring as herself, Lohan channels her inner judge (the show business kind) as she sizes up the competition at Nationals on the Season 3 finale.

The McKinley High glee club is vying for top honors after last year's upset and will take on nemesis Vocal Adrenaline in front of a panel of celeb judges.

Lohan, Rex Lee and Perez Hilton will be among them. Take a look:

The casting news was announced in March just after LiLo, who has officially satisfied her probation terms in her DUI case, hosted Saturday Night Live.

"Glee was fun to do!" she Tweeted Monday. "It made me want to live in a world of musicals where people always just burst out into song & dance!"

Despite reports that she was a nightmare on the set of Glee, Lohan's guest role was reportedly well-received by the cast and producers. Can't wait!

PSA: Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE up for pre-order today, release date still unknown

In case you took a pass on that Sprint-branded GNex or the LG Viper 4G in order to wait it out for HTC's EVO 4G LTE, well, now's the time to get your wallet ready and unleash the cash. As promised, The Now Network has the LTE-friendly EVO priced at $199.99 (50 bucks less on Wirefly) with a beloved two-year contract, while those ineligible for an upgrade will have to shell out around $550. That being said, chances are you won't get to surf those Long Term Evolution waves when you get device, but at least you'll be all set once the rollout finally commences. While Sprint's yet to give an official release date, Wirefly (somewhat reliable in the past) does say the ICS / Sense 4 slab will be shipping on May 18th. Be sure to hit either of the source links below to get your pre-order on.

Update: And just like that, Wirefly's May 18th date has mysteriously vanished. What does it mean?

[Thanks to everyone who sent this in]

arjun-sethiArjun Sethi, who was the CEO of early social game developer LOLapps, has landed at Chamath Palihapitiya's venture fund The Social+Capital Partnership as an entrepreneur in residence. It's a soft landing after his company's merger with social games publisher 6Waves didn't go quite as planned. Lolapps, the Facebook game developer behind Ravenwood Fair, was merged with publisher 6waves last July. They then took about $35 million in funding from Insight Venture Partners and South Korean gaming giant Nexon.

The Engadget interview: Sprint product execs John Tudhope and David Owens at CTIA 2012 (video)

We managed to catch not one, but two of Sprint's execs yesterday at CTIA Wireless 2012: Director of Product Marketing John Tudhope and VP of Product David Owens. While our discussion was centered primarily around the company's announcements at the show -- Sprint Guardian, HTC's EVO V 4G for Virgin Mobile and HTC's EVO Design 4G for Boost Mobile -- we were able to ask a few questions about the state of Sprint's LTE deployment and the associated value proposition. Want to find out more? Take a look at our video interview.

Thread: sooner or later ot was bound to happen - Family Woodworking

Glad you weren't hurt worse Dave. Been seeing your posts on FB and was wondering if you'd get back on the horse.

Have a friend that laid down his Hayabusa at about 50 miles per hour. Luckily he had just got his kevlar suit that day and was trying it out. He remembered hitting a sandy patch on the off-ramp, and waking up on some boulders on the side of the road. He sold the bike the next day and hasn't ridden since.
